For the past 10 years, Maine Mendoza has brought her signature charm and wit to the Eat Bulaga stage. Viewers of the noontime show have long been captivated by the actress' endearing presence, most notably through her iconic "Yaya Dub" persona in the mid-2010s. While she no longer has to hold back from speaking, Maine remains just as bubbly as ever as she marks a decade as one of the show’s mainstay hosts.
To commemorate the milestone, she paid homage to one of Yaya Dub’s most recognizable outfits. True to form, Maine gave it a stylish update, elevating the look with a more refined choice of frock.
"A decade already? Just wow," Maine wrote in a celebratory Instagram post. Alongside a quick 'fit check of what she wore to her July 5 hosting duties, she took a moment to commemorate her tenure on the show. For the special occasion, she wore a polka-dotted midi dress with crisscross back details and a flattering square neckline. If the red-and-white motif looks familiar, it's likely because it echoes Yaya Dub’s iconic apron, done up in the very same pattern.
Feeling sentimental about her time on the mic, Maine shared that she’s “truly grateful for the journey and the people I’ve shared it with.” She highlighted how much Eat Bulaga has shaped her career, calling it her “home” in showbiz. “It has been such a blessing. Maraming salamat sa sampung taon, Dabarkads,” she added.
