Face masks and face shields have become the latest style staple in the time of the pandemic. Predictably, Louis Vuitton leads the way with LV Shield, the iconic brand's luxurious version of the face shield described as "an eye-catching headpiece, both stylish and protective."
According to a report by Vanity Fair, the French fashion house unveiled this stylish protective gear on the second week of September 2020 as part of its 2021 Cruise collection.
The shield comes with an elastic monogram strap and has built-in transition lens that switch from clear to dark depending on the level of sunlight they are exposed to. The sleek shield is also rimmed with the distinct Louis Vuitton monogram and can also be lifted to function as a peaked hat.
Local LV lovers will have to wait for the confirmation of the face shield's release in the Philippines, though. However, Business Insider reports that the first batch will be available in select stores worldwide on October 30th.
A representative of Louis Vuitton also told the business news website that the price of the LV Shield has yet to be finalized. But there are reports saying it's pegged at $961, or approximately P46,600.
