Louis Vuitton, a French luxury brand known for its sturdy and stylish travel trunks, took influencers and celebrities from the Philippines, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia into a time capsule. Presenting Time Capsule, the invited guests journeyed from 1854 to present through the use of rare and carefully archived pieces from the vaults of Louis Vuitton. They revisited the luxury house’s landmark innovations in technology and design.

In a statement, the brand describes the Time Capsule as a demonstration of “the ways in which Louis Vuitton has anticipated the needs and desires of a changing world over 160 years.” And as it continues to “address new challenges faced by travelers,” Louis Vuitton does it with “imaginative and ingenious creations.”

The exhibition focuses on six key aspects, which includes the following: (1) the codes of the House: those distinctive design features that can be traced back to Louis Vuitton’s very first trunks; (2) journeys around the world, revealing how Louis Vuitton met the demands of new forms of transport; (3) elegance and beauty in motion, showing how Louis Vuitton has enabled its clients to travel in style; (4) Louis Vuitton and the Arts, showcasing how the house has opened its doors to architects, artists and designers across the decades; (5) Magic Malle, symbol of the House, the trunk is where it all began, and; (6) Artisans Room, live experience with Louis Vuitton craftsmen.

The Singapore leg of the exhibit runs until November 5 at Level 1, ION2, ION Orchard. The Time Capsule will also tour to Dubai (Dubai Mall) on November 7 until December 15 and as well as in Shanghai, China (Hongqiao Airport) from November 18 to December 15. Admission is free.
