Heart Evangelista continues to prove how effortlessly elegant she can be. At the Elegant Filipinas 2017, hosted by TingTing Cojuangco, Heart was named one of the 10 women who exemplifies what it means to be a modern Filipina: poised, intelligent, and armed with a strong advocacy.
Heart graced the event clad in a Rhett Eala gown, which was fresh off the runway of the recently-concluded Bench Fashion Week Holiday 2017. The designer tells Preview, "Heart has an aura of a princess and she looked perfect in the dress," which, by the way, was inspired by Princess Diana. "It's something [Princess Diana would] wear to a formal event during the spring. I wanted to do something conservative yet chic," adds Rhett.
Featuring short ruffled sleeves, embroidered with a pattern of rosettes, and adorned with a metallic floral collar, Heart's gown was a stunningly modern interpretation of a Filipiniana.
The stylish actress was honored along with nine other exceptional women: CNN news anchor Mitzi Borromeo, Happy Skin's Rissa Mananquil Trillo, Lulu Tan Gan, designer and gemologist Janina Dizon Hoschka, model Tweetie de Leon Gonzalez, Wildflour Group's Ana Marie Lorenzana de Ocampo, dermatologist Ana Palabyab Rufino, entrepreneur Joanna Preysler, and Audrey Tan Zubiri.
