So here’s a new styling trick that Liz Uy’s got up her sleeve (pun intended!). At the Matches Fashion cocktail event, which the shop's founders Tom and Ruth Chapman co-hosted with British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Shulman to celebrate the launch of the book Vogue – Voice of a Century, we sat up and took notice the quirky accoutrements to the stylist's classic black Toni Maticevski dress.

First, the large pearls of her shoulder-grazing danglers from Marni were proof that the lustrous gem has definitely left tita territory.

Second, and most notable, are the printed poplin sleeves, also from Marni, that covered her arms. Way more stylish than what motorbike riders wear to prevent overly tanned arms, it was both an unexpected way to cover up and a great accent to her outfit.
