Renaissance prints are seeing a brand new light in modern day fashion. Perhaps we can thank the Met Gala for this resurgence (remember its heavenly bodies-themed event?), but truth be told, cheeky cherubs and old paintings have been a sartorial inspiration since way back.
Back in the '90s, Vivienne Westood debuted a line of corseted gowns featuring angel prints.
Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2018 runway show also sent down models clad in angel-themed frocks and accessories.
Even locally, these heavenly prints are slowly gaining back traction. Just take a look at Jinkee Pacquiao's OOTD, which she recently wore when her husband, Sen. Manny Pacquiao, was recognized by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) with a commendation.
We're swooning over Jinkee's take on the renaissance print:
Jinkee's D&G frock features the cherub print rendered in a delicate pink silk fabric and accented with a high-neck ruffled neckline. Adding to its dainty vibe, she paired the dress with a baby pink handbag and further polished the look with gold slingbacks.
Want to cop Jinkee's look? Here's where you can shop her frilly angel dress!
