Heart Evangelista proves that you don’t always have to buy designer clothes for every event that you attend. Sometimes, your best shot at nailing that ensemble lies at the stroke of a brush. Case in point: Heart’s event look for the Centennial Celebration of the Senate, which she put together at the last minute.
Heart shared in her Instagram post that she was given a short notice regarding the event’s prescribed attire, and so she ended up cutting a Mark Bumgarner Filipiniana gown. She stripped off the sheer overlay of the gown, using the inner as the main dress. And being the artist that she is, Heart decided to paint a floral motif over the gown, adding more character to it, and stamping her seal of approval as the fashion girl we know her to be.
Should you decide to follow Heart’s DIY gown, be sure to use a fabric paint and let it dry completely before putting it on!
