18th birthdays are important to every girl’s life, as it serves as a mark of becoming a young adult. For Lorin Gutierrez’s digital debut, the young celebrity opted for a '90s inspired shoot that paid homage to all the iconic fashion that has made a comeback as of late.
But as expected of Lorin, the teen went for three sultry photo concepts rather than anything princess-y or sweet. Photographed by Shaira Luna and styled by Myrrh Lao To, the images look like they came straight out of the fashion magazines that ruled almost two decades ago. Here, we round-up all her looks from her fun birthday shoot that prove she’s a rising Gen Z style icon.
1. For the first set of photos, Lorin wore a body hugging giraffe print bodysuit with a matching beret and elbow length gloves.
This reminded us of Naomi Campbell wearing a camelot print Azzedine Alaïa number photographed by Herb Ritts in 1991.
2. This time, Lorin sports a neon orange dress from LA Glamour Queen.
The details show off her physique perfectly thanks to the clever cutout details. The dress gave a nostalgic throwback to this iconic Versace look on actress Elizabeth Hurley when she attended the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994 with former flame Hugh Grant.
3. For her last look, Lorin then took it to the streets—literally!
In this layout she served a double denim moment! Her hair was styled in the quintessential spiky ‘do of the noughties and early '00s. We can’t help but compare it to the denim down Britney Spears wore for the 2001 VMAs. Head-to-toe denim was also the go-to look of Spice Girls’ Victoria Beckham during their era.
Happy 18th Birthday, Lorin! We can’t wait to see more from your fun sense of style!
