We give you the latest on what's going down in London with a daily update fresh off the runway. Here's what went down on third day of LFW:
Mary Katranzou takes us back – way back – with a collection fished out of the primordial soup. Mesozoic creatures and alien-like ooze in the form of caviar beads and cotton squiggles crawled its way down models’ shoulder and arms, forming sleeves and bodices of shift dresses and slips. Giving floral lace a run for its money, Mary’s plush textures eats up the frills of with and eerie kind of luxe. (See the full collection here)
From flowy wraps to soft cocoon coats, there might have been one-too-many influences at Preen. The first three looks could have given the impression of a nautical themed show with its red, blue, and white Bengal stripes but as it transitioned into multi-colored fringes and floral patterns, it somehow got a little bit confusing. What do we mean? Watch the video below. (See the full collection here)
Britain’s top models were in full force as they strut their stuff at the Topshop Unique show. Cara Delevingne, Joudan Dun, and Lily Donaldson paraded down the runway dressed in glittering slips that referenced the 20s but with a grunged twist. And while they weren’t donning the Gatsby-esque frocks, tennis skirts and boxy tops flipped the scene into a sporting event with staples that beat the summer heat. (See the full collection here)
