Netflix is dropping their much-awaited original anime based on the Philippine graphic novel Trese by writer Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo right before Independence Day. The series premieres on June 11, and Liza Soberano has been making the rounds promoting the animated adaptation for Netflix Philippines. ICYMI, Liza voices the tagalog version of the titular female lead Alexandra Trese, while Shay Mitchell was tapped for the English-dub that's set for international release.
One particular outfit caught our eye for a promotional interview, because it's not a look we're used to seeing on the softspoken star. The actress wore a tight monogrammed dress with shoulder pads; styled with sheer black stockings and pointed patent pumps. The look is quite a departure from the actress' sweet and streetwear-infused sense of style. Not that we're complaining! This all-grown-up and sleek look is a welcome change for the 23-year-old mestiza.

Because of its distinct print, we found the exact frock stylist Perry Tabora chose for Liza. The bodycon piece is from French luxury label Balmain and costs AUD 1225 based on the official website. That's approximately P45,211.95!

We figured that Liza will opt for more powerful OOTDs like this for her Netflix press tour to evoke a fashion-forward iteration of Trese. After all, the badass female detective has quite the penchant for black 'fits based on the graphic novel.

We can't wait to see what Trese-inspired look Liza will sport next!
Trese starts streaming on Netflix on June 11.
