Liza Soberano's star continues to rise as she makes her presence known across different Hollywood circles. After presenting trophies at the Annie Awards and sitting courtside at a Lakers game, the actress stepped onto the red carpet of the 23rd Asian American Awards. For the ceremony, she looked every bit like a princess in Vietnamese designer Phan Huy.

Also dubbed the "Unforgettable Awards," the Asian American Awards celebrates the different Asian communities that have made an impact on the entertainment scene. With credits in films such as Lisa Frankenstein and Forgotten Island, the Filipina actress was invited as one of the gala's esteemed guests.
For the occasion, she donned a dramatic strapless ball gown from Vietnamese couture label Phan Huy. The frock featured an intricately beaded bodice and skirt that ballooned into an encrusted hem. Liza accessorized the look with a complementing bracelet, earrings, and tennis necklace from Gabriel and Co. To seal the princess vibes, she pulled her curled-up locks into a bun and brushed on a soft, blushing makeup look.

Liza’s glistening ensemble was plucked straight out of Phan Huy’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which was presented last January at Paris Fashion Week. The showcase, titled “Cành vàng lá ngọc,” or “The Golden Branch and Jade Leaf,” was a tribute to Vietnamese royal codes, with an emphasis on the cultural symbolism behind such designs.
“In Vietnamese tradition, the phrase denotes individuals of noble lineage—gentlemen and ladies of elevated status, graceful bearing, and refined upbringing. This metaphor forms the emotional foundation of the collection, shaping both its spirit and its silhouettes,” the brand expresses in its show notes. This was translated into ornamental floral patterns and the use of crystallized textiles. Liza’s look proved to be a strong manifestation of these references, as the actress was a regal sight all night long.
