Fashion week can be a crazy beast that sometimes gets the best of us. (Yeah, we’re looking at you, Kendall Jenner.) But to a seasoned pro that’s pretty much used to running around in heels to catch the next show, it can be a breeze. Here, we check up on celebrity stylist and Preview’s contributing fashion editor Liz Uy as she navigates through one of the busiest weeks of the year: New York Fashion Week.
Liz kicks off the busy week by swinging by the presentation of Gant.
The Outfit: A Julien Macdonald trumpet midi skirt and a striped buttondown casually knotted at the waist, paired with white strappy Aquazzura sandals
Liz was greeted by Kate Spade and Polo Ralph Lauren's bright colors and assortment of prints from stripes to flowers.
After the presentations, she made haste to catch the Givenchy show where she witnessed a parade of lace gowns and tuxedos.
The Outfit: A boxy shirt paired with a printed maxi skirt from Issa London that coincidentally matches the bright colors at the Polo presentation
Her first order of business: a morning appointment with Tommy Hilfiger for an exclusive interview prior to his show.
After which, she was off to catch the Dion Lee and tibi shows where she met up with pals Georgina and Jessica Wilson, and BJ Pascual.
The Outfit: Her all-white ensemble was composed of a knotted top from tibi and a lattice skirt from Dion Lee, topped off with polarized sunnies from Filipino brand RETROSUPERFUTURE and a royal blue Fendi purse.
The morning was spent backstage at Diane von Furstenberg show where she got up close and personal with Karlie Kloss and Kendall Jenner.
The Outfit: A polka dotted DVF shirt dress paired with platform Giambattista Valli ankle strap steppers to play off the ‘70s vibe of the show
Liz took a trip to Tommy Hilfiger’s pool side, err, runway show where she sat next to stylist Tina Leung, blogger Margaret Zhang, and social media star Irene Kim.
The Outfit: A striped trumpet skirt from Tommy Hilfiger worn over a lemon yellow midi dress from tibi.
It was a laidback day as she viewed chunky knits and distressed denim at Simon Miller’s Spring/Summer 2016 presentation.
The Outfit: A masculine suit from tibi paired with fuzzy steppers from Rochas.
The week ended on a sweet note as she watched dreamy, embroidered frocks come down the runway at Delpozo.
The Outfit: Liz swings back to the ‘70s with a floral Gucci top and cuffed jeans fom CJ Cruz.
