What do Anne Curtis, Erwan Heussaff, and Nico Bolzico have in common? Apart from being in the same family, the three social media stars posted about the same bracelet yesterday.
The Pearl of Hope bracelet seen on their feeds is part of an environmental conservation initiative of jewelry brand Jewelmer. “The Pearl of Hope stands as a pledge: We all lend a hand in sustaining the beauty and purity of the environment,” the brand says in a post on Instagram. Cultivating the South Sea pearl all these years, which thrives in a healthy marine environment, has given the brand a firsthand view of the importance of preserving nature.
A portion of the proceeds of the sales of the bracelet will go to funding programs of Save Palawan Seas Foundation (SPSF). According to their website, SPSF “is a non-profit organization that aims to provide our beneficiary communities with sustainable sources of income without harming the environment." Their projects in Palawan include medical missions in various barangays; livelihood projects like handicraft workshops, beekeeping and sustainable farming; and environmental initiatives that teach locals about environmental concerns, waste management, and cleaning up the coastlines.
The bracelet itself is quite the beauty: a solitary golden South Sea pearl (around 10 to 11 milimeters in diameter) is held by 18-karat gold hardware on a braided leather strap. Best of all, it’s elegant minimalist design is quite unisex, so you can either share it with your S.O. or get a matching set. It's available at all Jewelmer boutiques and you can check their website to locate a store near you.
