10 Minimalist, Instagrammable Pambahay OOTDs We're Totally Stealing From Leila Alcasid

Here are some myths about pambahay clothes we'd like to debunk right now: a) they only consist of old, demoted shirts and sweats; b) they're "haggard" by default; and c) they should never, under any circumstances, make it to your IG feed. Yup, those all wrong. We're always saying you should wear pambahay that makes you feel great, since you'll be spending most of your time indoors anyway. It bears repeating! 

Leila Alcasid is proof that you can and should be donning cute pieces even if you'll be working in your room all day. Her Instagram is packed with chic minimalist pambahay 'fits, which we appreciate. She's got this fresh, bronzy aesthetic, and we're totally making her our summer peg.

1. The summer heat can be unbearable! Hence, if you want to work with the AC on, grab the opportunity to put on a super-soft cotton duo! Here, Leila's wearing a streamlined cotton shirt and flowy pants with a lettuce hem.

2. Want to feel like yourself again? You're totally encouraged to put on makeup even if you aren't going out! Complete the look with a printed crop top and skirt set. This is perfect for a Friday night spent catching up with friends over video call. 

3. On productive weekends set aside for chores, hobbies, and redecorating, keep yourself inspired by wearing something cute! May we interest you in baggy jeans + a knitted bralette + a dainty scarf? 

4. On other days, we lounge. Unapologetically. The suit of choice should be a cream bralette set. It looks sooo comfortable! 

5. The easiest of all easywear: an oversized tank dress. Trust us– the baggier, the better. The sand color keeps it chic!

6.  Thinking of running errands in the late afternoon? Put on a square neck linen mini dress. This style is all the rage now, and for good reason. Everyone loves a comfy trend! 

7. One of Leila's favorite pieces seems to be this mink gray bralette. (Consider this a reminder to invest in a basic garment you can imagine yourself wearing endlessly.) Here, she pairs it with a pair of sage green drawstring shorts. 

8. Now here's a combo made for yoga mornings! Pair your fave bralette with grey sweats for maximum comfort and ease. 

9. Here it is again! This time, Leila's wearing it with cute paperbag shorts in a blush pink hue. By now, you should be fully sold on enlivening your pambahay! 

10. Feeling a little extra? Maybe it's time to let your square pants see the light of day again. Upgrade your WFH 'fit and try on a white cotton blouse with breezy cuttoff culottes.
