Athleisure fans, this one’s for you.

Athleisure’s been around for quite some time, but we need a little fashion refresher every now and then. Take for example, your good old pair of workout leggings. Now, whipping up a gym outfit may be easy, but outside the gym, er, not so much. If you want to get the most out of your leggings and breathe some sartorial life into it, we’ve come up with tips that can take you from a workout to the mall, or to a snazzy night out. Choose your level of difficulty and flex those fashion muscles!

Level: Casual

These outfit pegs are useful right after your workout because all you need is a cool T-shirt to match. For a clean and simple look that’s perfect for going out, go for solid colors.

A monochromatic look is sleek and chic.

If black isn’t your thing, nude colors are also a safe bet.

You can also try different shapes like boxy shoulders or you can go for cropped ones as seen below.

Level: A Little Extra

Take it up a notch by playing with different silhouettes and textures. Below, check out these all-black ensembles that layer different pieces.

Layer two tops for double the fun as seen in model Paloma Elsesser’s OOTD.

Here are more travel-friendly outfits that are cozy and stylish enough for the airport. Slouchy white or cream hoodies are très chic when matched with cool accessories like a quilted bag as seen in Alyssa Coscarelli’s look, or a Yayoi Kusama tote bag as seen in Adrianne Ho’s look below.

For a look that’s equally athletic and on point, don’t be afraid to go for coordinates. The uniform color palette has a lot of impact, and hey, you don’t need to stress out when looking for pieces to match your leggings. Problem solved!
