The 2000s often get a bad rap for its gaudy aesthetic. Remember those ultra low waist jeans? Or perhaps those Von Dutch trucker hats? Thank goodness that this fashion trend came before the advent of social media; can you imagine the throwbacks? But with the Gen Z and millennials welcoming nostalgic fashion back into our lives (and closets), the once tacky Y2k aesthetic gets a second, more stylish chance.

Just take a look at how Kylie Verzosa does it! In her recent stint as a guest judge in It’s Showtime’s Sexy Babe segmentthe beauty-queen-turned-actress has been sporting the cutest early aughts-inspired OOTDs curated by celebrity stylist Perry Tabora. Keep scrolling and take style notes!

LOOK: Kylie Verzosa’s Y2K-Inspired Looks on It’s Showtime

1. We still can’t get over Kylie’s stylish pink OOTD that was reminiscent of the cult-classic film, Mean Girls! This bright, Barbie hue was definitely the 30-year-old's color as she rocked an ultra mini skirt that matched with Balenciaga handbag, Versace platform heels, and rose-tinted sunglasses.

2. Butterfly tops have been making their comeback this year with local celebs like Anne Curtis and Andrea Brillantes sporting this ultra-glam piece. On the second day of her guesting, Kylie wore her own rendition of this trendy top: a crocheted orange and black coordinate set! The actress finished off the look with gold butterfly clips and black Prada monolith boots.

Oh, and if you need more proof at how spot on Kylie is with this Y2K look, the queen of the aughts Paris Hilton actually asked Kylie where she got her 'fit. Now, that's hot!

3. While tie-dye usually makes one recall the hippie trend of the ‘60s and ‘70s, this funky print also found its way to the fashion of the early 2000s. As seen here on Kylie, her multi-colored tie-dye dress perfectly encapsulated the vibrant energy of that era! She toned down the bright dress with black accessories: lace-up boots, square frames, and Chanel purse

4. ICYDK, “Gen Z” green has been taking the fashion world by storm. Kylie shows off her take on the lush hue in this monochromatic look featuring an asymmetrical crop top and high-waisted pants

5. Mesh tops were a mainstay in any Y2K fan’s closet and, together with zebra print, create the perfect OOTD combo of all things early aughts! Clad in a black-and-white ensemble, Kylie’s toned midriff was in full display thanks to her black bralette underneath a sheer, front-tie coverup. Kylie went for a skin-tight, high-shine leatherette pants, sparkly flower barrettes, and a bucket purse to complete her look.

6. Most people forget that Y2K fashion was also the era of baggy jeans and Kylie paid tribute to that in her final guesting OOTD. Her most casual look among the bunch still had the actress looking as stunning as ever, what with her chain mail cowl neckline top (perhaps inspired by Paris Hilton's silver slinky birthday dress), slouchy light-wash jeans, and strappy blue heels.
