Kristen Stewart marches at the beat of her own drum. In fact, at this year's Cannes Film Festival, she literally did so barefoot! The Chanel ambassador ditched her sky-high Louboutin heels right after posing for the cameras.
Kristen's bold move was reportedly an act of protest against the Cannes Film Festival's strict high heels-only dress code for the ladies. The organization received backlash on the said policy back in 2015 after "a group of women in their 50s were turned away from the gala screening of Todd Haynes’s Carol for allegedly not wearing high-heeled shoes," according to The Guardian.
Back in 2016, actress Julia Roberts also made headlines for ditching her heels on the red carpet. She explained in an interview: "A lot was happening from my ankles up. Let’s not forget all that. A lot of time and effort went into ankles up."
