Take a page from the cool looks of these popular Korean actors.

No doubt, Korean men know a thing or two about fashion. You only need to watch the country’s very popular series to see its actors in advanced style moves like the superb application of colors, the abundant use of very long coats, and the adaptation of fancy clothes as sleepwear.

And while some of the outfits in these fantasies are just that—not applicable in real life—there are style moves to consider here. Just take a look at these popular Korean actors, who even beyond their shows, exemplify the polish and color of the country's style.

Park Seo-joon’s Headwear (and Hair)

The key piece here is the beanie, a style of headwear that is hard to pull off, but what is unseen is the real star. Under the hood is The Chestnut, a short, blunt crop that Park Seo-joon sported in Itaewon Class. He pulls both difficult hat and strange hair well because, like a true professional, he committed to them.

Ju Ji-hoon’s Travel Threads

Ju Ji-hoon, who plays a beleaguered prince in Kingdom, remains in royal character in this post from the airplane (or is he on the train?). The actor wears a combo we’d also choose for traveling: a white T-shirt for comfort, a jacket in a Prince of Wales check for style, and a pair of dark sunglasses that says, “Just leave me alone.”

Lee Min-Ho’s Exploring Fit

Yes, this is Lee Min-ho and his short shorts chilling in Paris. Three things: It’s nice to know that we have something in common with the superstar, who, like us, prefers non-fussy threads while exploring. Also, it’s a bummer to realize our shared uniform of hoodie, shorts, and sneakers looks infinitely better with mile-long legs. Finally, we should try shorter shorts.

Nam Joo-hyuk’s Designer Suit

Nam Joo-hyuk was a model before he was an actor so we’re going to lean into this fact by highlighting the awesomeness of his Dior Men look. As seen here, you, too, can wear anything, including advanced-level designer stuff (note the glossy shirt and two-tone pants), if you possess natural confidence and the comely face of an angel.

Lee Jong-suk’s High-Low Mix

This snapshot is a perfect example of that didn’t-put-much-effort-into-this-but-I-still-look-good vibe. Observe the medium-wash jeans with turned-up cuffs and the black high-top sneakers. And now note the magic trick, the use of a sport coat, which makes the basics look incredible.

Park Bo-gum’s Happy Shirt

If you’re unsure about the viability of the Hawaiian shirt today, please refer to Park Bo-gum in this wild aloha shirt. The actor, who our informers say is the human equivalent of a puppy, even ups the style difficulty by pairing it with light-washed jeans. It’s a thumbs up for us.

Kim Soo-hyun’s Alternative Look

We’re liking the anti-fit fit of this ’fit. Kim Soo-hyun finds another way to do black-on-black by pumping up the volume, even in his thick slides. Also, the actor proves that, yes, he does have that very small face that the camera loves.

Hyun Bin’s Study in Contrasts

We present this study in contrasts and colors: a corduroy sport coat in caramel over a mock turtleneck in olive. The printed pocket square stuffed casually into the jacket is a nice touch, while the very attentive expression brings it all together.

Gong Yoo’s Easy Shirt

Korean Fashion Lesson for Men No. 34: When you have the bone structure and cooperative hair of Gong Yoo, you don’t need to put on the flash and wear all the tricks. A simple shirt will do.
