There's apparently a thing called K-Drama actress disease—and Park Min-Young, famously known for What's Wrong With Secretary Kim and Queen for Seven Days, admittedly has it.
We recently caught up with the K-drama actress, who also stars in Netflix's first Korean variety show, Busted! I Know Who You Are, a puzzle-solving mystery comedy. Undoubtedly stylish even off-screen, Min-Young talks about maintaining an equally stellar wardrobe for the aforementioned show. But how did she manage to stay chic and put together despite being in a program with no script or overall plot? That's where the "disease" comes in.

"When I first joined the cast, they didn't really ask me to pay a lot of attention to my clothes," Min-Young shares. "But since it's 10-episode long, it would be boring if I wore the same things." She then goes on to talk about an amusing fashion term or syndrome coined among K-drama actresses—and Min-Young herself admits to having it. "So there's this so-called 'Actress Disease', meaning you have to show off as [many] fashionable outfits in one drama [as possible], and that's what I did," she quips.

So if you've ever wondered why your favorite drama heroines (like Jun Ji-Hyun in Legend of the Blue Sea or Son Ye-Jin in Something in the Rain) are always styled to perfection in each episode, you now have your answer! Thanks to this K-drama actress disease, it all makes sense now. Here's hoping it's actually contagious!
