Kim Kardashian West's New Hair Was Inspired By Madonna The reality TV star went platinum blond for Paris Fashion Week.

Kim Kardashian West's new hair color was inspired by Madonna.

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star has revealed she had been wanting to get her hair dyed platinum blonde for "a long time" after being inspired by the "Living for Love" hitmaker.

She told PEOPLE magazine, "I've always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer and I've been waiting a long time to try the look. I thought what better time than right now for Paris Fashion Week. It was a really last minute decision."

The 34-year-old television personality debuted her new blonde locks whilst attending the Balmain fashion show in the French capital alongside her husband Kanye West.

Meanwhile, one of her hairstylist's Chris McMillan says he believes Kim's locks are "part of her identity."

He said previously, "Kim's long, gorgeous hair is part of her identity. Kim's natural texture is so thick and wavy. Instead of fighting it, I like to go with it, keeping everything soft, easy and understated."

The celebrity stylist even worked on her hair for her wedding to Kanye. He added, "A wedding is not the time to do anything trendy. I teased her crown, parted her hair down the middle, and pulled two small sections straight back. This style has sort of become her go-to look since the wedding."

Meanwhile, the reality TV star has also confessed she had her forehead hair lasered off and in fact, underwent the procedure a few years ago to keep her "crazy" hairline fuzz free.

She explained, "I have the hairiest forehead you could ever imagine, and I would always break out and get all cracky on my forehead just from all the hair that I had. So in high school, I would wax it off because there was just so much hair, and then I would laser it off a little bit. If you Google [me in] 2008 or 2007, I had the craziest, hairiest hairline, so I did laser it. Everyone would just Photoshop it every time I did a photo shoot [anyway]. I didn't really change the shape, I just got rid of all the baby hairs."
