We spotted the two celebrities wearing a futuristic eye shield from Finnish indie brand NoPeet. The face shield-sunglass hybrid looks like it came out of the set of Blade Runner and the Spring/Summer 2020 runways.
Performance-inspired eyewear has been a creeping trend since 2018 through brands like Fenty x Puma and Vetements; back then they looked more like cycling glasses. In 2019, they got bigger and more zany as seen on Stella McCartney and Kenzo. For the summer of 2020, the trend evolved into oversized eyewear, looking more like ski goggles than cycling shades on the runways of Versace.
So it came as no surprise that the innovative Scandinavian brand found a niche during the past few months when additional eye protection was encouraged. Obviously both Kim and Heart gravitated towards NoPeet’s cool and minimalist design that goes well with any outfit and actually comes in a variety of fun and functional colorways.
