Last Wednesday, Kenneth Cole celebrated their 30th anniversary through a cocktail party and a fashion show in their new concept store in Bonifacio High Street Central. The intimate event was filled with friends from the media, fashion, and of course, their customers.
In the middle of the cocktail party was a short video of Kenneth Cole himself thanking everybody who came to celebrate with them, even sharing a little more about the Kenneth Cole brand and its presence in the fashion scene in the past 30 years.
Next up was the presentation of their stunning Fall/Winter 2013 collection: Inspired by the city life (New York, naturally) and featuring pieces in gray, black, white, and ruby red, the brand played with combining different shapes and silhouettes this season—think long leather shirts paired with cropped baseball jackets. They veered away from the usual leggings and pencil skirts and made the pieces much more easier to wear for city life. They were also inspired by sportswear, which they seamlessly incorporated throughout their collection.
The key accessory has got to be their footwear: They showed an architectural influence, as seen in their pointed boots and chunky heels. Their collection definitely got us excited and we can’t wait for August when the F/W pieces actually arrive in stores.
