Kendall Jenner sure knows how to make a serious red carpet statement. For her appearance at the Cannes 2017 Fashion For Relief event, the supermodel sported—guess what?—a pair of denim shorts. (Nope, we're totally not kidding!) See for yourself.
But first, a key fact: the oufit is an Alexandre Vauthier original from the Spring 2017 couture runway, accessorized with a Swarovski crystal-encrusted belt, slim, layered silver necklaces, and a pair of classic black pumps. Punctuated by something other than those jean jorts, Kendall's risque #lewk might have passed the much-buzzed-about Cannes dress code, but then again, this particular appearance wasn't on the official red carpet so the rules were likely a lot more lax. Clearly.
Would you do it, though? Being experimental is no doubt an important factor in fashion, but sporting denim cutoffs on the red carpet is something to really think about. Kendall later detached her crop top's voluminous train, transforming it into a simple bustier. That defo looks a lot easier to move around in, but it also looks, well, too casual.
What do you think about Kendall's jorts gesture? (Maybe consider sticking to suits and evening gowns for any future fetes.)
