Stylist Danae Dipon on Kathryn Bernardo's Sultry Boho Look on PGT Semi-Finals Night
Styled by longtime collaborators Danae Dipon and Justine Benitez, Kathryn wore a custom silk slip dress by Patty Ang in a deep bronze tone that shimmered with every movement. The silhouette was intentionally undone—barely-there straps, a slinky fit, and sheer lace panels tracing the bust and midriff for a lingerie-inspired finish.

“Kath had been talking about doing a slip dress look for a while,” Danae tells Preview in an exclusive interview. “We love leaning into effortless chic that still feels sexy and cool, so I collaborated with Patty Ang on a custom slip dress in silk with lace details. Loved how the piece turned out—it really brought the vision to life.”

The team elevated the ‘90s silhouette with bold styling choices: chief among them, a dramatic fringe hairstyle, executed by hairstylist John Valle, that framed her face and echoed the softness of the dress. According to Danae, the idea came straight from Kathryn herself.

To finish the look, Kathryn wore sculptural gold jewelry from J Makitalo—stacked rings, layered necklaces, and cuffs that gave the romantic dress a grounded, contemporary edge. Her bronzed makeup, done by Owen Sarmiento, played off the gown’s earthy tone and emphasized her natural glow.

Captured in these photos by Tonton Soguilon, the full look reveals a version of Kathryn that’s quietly confident and visually commanding as always. For a show built on talent, her style evolution has become a standout performance in its own right.
