On September 21, Kathryn Bernardo took center stage at the 18th Seoul International Drama Awards held in Seoul, South Korea as she accepted the coveted Most Outstanding Asian Star award, making history as only the second Filipina to receive this prestigious accolade. ICYDK, it was Belle Mariano who received the honor the previous year.

Receiving her award, Kathryn had the most heartwarming speech: "I fell in love with this project because of the unique story line—it's always been more than just about sharing a love story to our audience, but also spreading awareness on Alzheimer's disease, and educating people about those who struggle with it and how we can offer them the best support. It gave me a deeper appreciation for our nurses and healthcare works too, so it was really more than just another TV show for me," she said.
She then went on to thank her co-stars and her fans for the never-ending support before underlining how important the award is not only for her but for her fellow Filipinos. "I hope we continue to produce world-class materials not just for Filipinos but for the whole world to see! Thank you so much again. I'm so proud to be on this stage as a Filipina," she concludes her speech.
Her win was first announced by ABS-CBN on July 27, proudly congratulating the A Very Good Girl star for her remarkable achievement. Of course, bagging the award was no small feat, with fans actively supporting Kathryn through a month-long voting process on South Korea's Idol Champ platform.
The actress turned heads as she made her grand entrance on the red carpet, adorned in an exquisite creation by renowned designer Martin Bautista. The ensemble consisted of a fringed corset top that effortlessly accentuated her figure and an elegant low-waist maxi skirt. To complete the look, she added a delicate scarf, adding a touch of elegance to her red carpet presence.
For her beauty look, John Valle styled her hair in an updo, with face-framing curtain bangs that complemented her fresh makeup courtesy of Justine Claudia.
