Kathryn Bernardo's Message for Filipinos: 'Love Your Imperfections' The Teen Queen speaks out.

MANILA - The most epic class pic was taken in the basement of one sparkling skyscraper in BGC last night. In one frame: veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez, businessman Washington Sycip, Richard Gomez, Belle Daza, Bea Valdez, Dominique Cojuangco and Lucy Torres-Gomez, Gretchen Barretto and Gloria Diaz in the front row. All came out for the launch of Love Local, a book that the brand calls its "public display of affection" for Filipino culture. In its pages are stunning portraits of the country's celebrities, personalities and modern-day heroes, along with essays from writers tracing local food, fashion, music, history, television and film. Editors Raymond Ang and Paolo Lorenzana asked their subjects what it is they love, or what they encourage other Filipinos to love about their own culture. Among them:

the legendary singer Pilita Corrales,

"The Filipino is very musically inclined... You have to really give them your best."

veteran actor Eddie Garcia,

"Love your own television."

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera,

"I love dipping pandesal in my barako coffee," says Dingdong. "I love our old churches and the very rich heritage of Catholicism in our country," says Marian.

Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez,

"Of course, we love Original Pilipino Music!"

and the Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo, who said simply:

"Love your own imperfections."

Love Local is now available at select Bench Stores in Metro Manila for only Php 445.
