Over the years, Kathryn Bernardo continues to cement herself as a fashionista. Alongside the growth of her acting prowess, Kathryn's style has been very much attuned, evidenced by a common thread—her affinity towards traditional Filipino silhouettes.
For a recent appliance event, the actress made an appearance wearing a fabulous modern interpretation of the traditional baro't saya. By the way, did you know "baro't saya" literally translates to "blouse and skirt"?

Stylists Kim and Boop Yap looked to designer Daryl Maat, who fashioned a custom barong with heart details for the actress. The sweet top was paired with a red and white gingham Innocencia Inabel skirt, which featured a drawstring detail that gave the look a modern twist.
The modern baro't saya was accessorized with Aje Tala Pearl Drop Hoop earrings and slingback heels from Amina Muaddi. In addition, makeup artist Owen Sarmiento defined Kathryn's brows, painted a winged liner, highlighted her cheeks, and plumped her lips. Finally, hairstylist John Valle gave the actress a romantic and laidback updo.
