Turns out, the Duchess of Cambridge has some sneaky style secrets up her royal sleeves. We came across this Instagram account and found out that Kate Middleton, after all, isn't exactly the serial outfit repeater we thought she was. It was an "aha!" moment for everyone here at the Preview HQ when we discovered her trick.
Can you tell the difference between her outfits in the photos above?
As we've recently found out, the Duchess' trick to make old outfits look new again (apart from changing up her accessories) is to duplicate the same style in different colors. Case in point: her Alexander Mcqueen wool coat, which she wore during Princess Charlotte's christening. People were too sure that she wore the same piece again to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. But if you look really, really closely, the two coats actually differ in color. The Duchess wore a primrose yellow coat to the wedding and a cream version to her daughter's baptism. Another detail that distinguishes the two pieces apart is the button sewn on the yellow coat, which can't be seen on the other.
Still unconvinced? Below, see the other occasions Kate employed the same style trick!
Come to think of it, the Duchess is just like most of us. Whenever we're out shopping and spot something we love way too much, we just feel the need to get it in every color! And that's regardless of how close the shades might actually be.
