The Miss Intercontinental 2017 competition has begun, and Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Katarina Rodriguez is more than prepared. Flying all the way to Egypt for the pageant's preliminaries, the beauty queen seems to have an impressive array of outfits lined up for her stay.
For her send-off, Katarina started strong with a chic royal blue pantsuit. Her color palette was inspired by the Philippine flag, so her suitcases, carry-on luggage and handbag were red, yellow and white respectively. Nationalist OOTDs, anyone?
On the other hand, it was all about the non-colors for her arrival look. The model-turned-pageant queen had an accidental twinning moment with the Sunrise Resort's chic interiors, wearing a sheer number by designer Rhett Eala. (He has become quite the go-to designer for beauty queens since dressing Maxine Medina for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.)
That said, Katarina's latest look is probably our favorite one so far. Wearing yet another piece by Rhett, she gave us a major Miss Universe throwback by wearing one of his fringed dresses.
While the soft shade of pink and shorter hemline definitely sets it apart from Maxine's emerald floor-length number, we can't help the slight nostalgia from coming over us. And if you love Maxine's memorable look as much as we do, donning a piece like Katarina's could be an easier one to wear to your next big fete—perfect for cocktails and weddings alike.
