Juliana Gomez was a vision when she attended a friend's high school prom over the weekend. She looked classic, minimalist, and best of all, chic.
First things first: her dress. Juliana spent the night in this custom Boom Sason gown. "Initially we were also exploring a tulle skirt, but towards the end Juliana decided on the beautiful tafetta fabric," shares the designer. "It [the dress] is like Juliana, very tasteful and chic. She told me every time we fit that she felt so comfortable in it. It really reflects her taste."
It's a shade of gray that makes a subtle yet sophisticated statement. "We decided on light cool gray at first [but] that color wasn't available so we were able to find [a] dark gray which actually looks more flattering on her skin tone."
And of course, it's impossible not to notice those pockets! According to Boom, it was Juliana herself who insisted on having pockets for the dress.
Even in the beauty department, Juliana went all the way with the "less is more" concept. With the magic touch of makeup artist Anthea Bueno, she sported minimal makeup that highlighted her features. It's the "warm glow" look, as Anthea likes to call it. Soft shimmers on the lids, golden highlights, a sweep of warm bronzer, and voila—she's prom-ready.
Then there's her beautiful corsage! Juliana tapped Te Amo Floristeria for this, and the white flowers served as the perfect finishing touch to her gunmetal frock.
