For its Spring 2019 collection, Swedish retail giant H&M has tapped local actress Jodi Sta. Maria to be part of its roster of international fashion ambassadors. She was handpicked along with 70 other global fashion key opinion leaders.
The brand presented its latest collection in an immersive theatre event in Sedona, Arizona, where Jodi was also invited to join.
The global ambassadors participated in a scripted narrative, The Glam Explorer, wherein they were invited to unique performances, including the water ballet spectacle by the Aqualillies, an acoustic performance by The Staves, a fictive camp site, a BMX stunt show, and a special dance performance followed by an intimate concert by Maggie Rogers.
The Studio Spring 2019 collection is inspired by The Glam Explorer, "a glamorous adventurous muse who refuses to let what she wears limit her as her wanderlust takes her anywhere from azure rooftop pools to wild desert landscapes."
Additionally, H&M reveals that "Jodi is the first Filipina actress to be featured on H&M’s global Instagram account with a picture of her totally reflecting the H&M brand DNA–current and inspiring, easy and confident, genuine and transparent, positive and inclusive."
Jodi also reveals her favorite pieces from the new collection:
