It feels just like yesterday when child star Kim Yoo Jung stole the thunder as the young Heo Yeon-woo in The Moon Embracing the Sun (2012). Now a certified leading lady in her own right, the 20-year-old actress has been gearing up for an all-new K-drama, in which she’s starring alongside Hallyu heartthrob Ji Chang Wook. Backstreet Rookie, which tells the love story between a convenience store manager and his part-time worker who used to be a troublemaker, will finally air its pilot episode tonight, July 19—and we are absolutely thrilled!
To promote their new drama, the pair even showed up at today’s press conference dressed in matching outfits! Both clad in their own take on the classic black suit, the two looked like a match made in sartorial heaven: Ji Chang Wook gave his suit a relaxed spin by opting for a slouchy silhouette which he finished off with no-nonsense Converse sneakers. Meanwhile, Kim Yoo Jung suited up in no less than Prada—to be exact, a single-breasted oversized jacket cinched by a belt that hugged her in all the right places. So chic!
