Joining them is Jessy Mendiola who recently shared on her vlog that she sold her Chanel Wallet on Chain in order to buy another luxury bag.
Unlike others though, Jessy was met with controversy regarding her frugal move suggesting that she was having money problems and to which she had the realest response. “Wala po akong problema sa pera, kuripot lang po talaga ako,” she says on her IG stories after a concerned friend told her about the issue. “Mas gusto ko mag-let go ng isang bagay na hindi ko na ginagamit para makabili ng bago,” she continues.
Anyone who has seen her latest vlog would know that she opens up about her being a “Ms. Tipidera” and how she manages her money around luxury investments. She says the Chanel Wallet on Chain she put up for sale hasn’t been worn or used for around two to three years. Besides that, her preferences have changed and a small purse like that would just not be able to fit all her stuff, especially her pandemic essentials. Jessy used the proceeds of that sale to purchase the Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis bag she had been eyeing. She shares having more than 10 bags in her collection is just too much for someone like her, so selling a piece to buy a new one has become a habit of hers.
She also acknowledges the need to reward oneself especially when you work hard for it. She reminds her followers “It’s always nice to buy something that you want but it’s better to be wise about it.” The actress even goes to the extent of encouraging people to sell the things they don’t use in order to pay for new purchases as she believes it is the wisest way to make the most out of the money you invest in luxury items.
