Janine Gutierrez Was the Picture of Elegance at Her Star Magic Contract Signing

Janine Gutierrez has entered a new chapter in her career. On Tuesday, June 2, the actress officially signed with Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm.

“Going on my 6th year as a Kapamilya, and I owe it to everyone who has supported me and shown me love for making it possible,” she wrote on Instagram. During the contract signing event, Janine also expressed her appreciation to the network executives, her team of managers, and her family and friends.

For the occasion, Janine stepped out in a cherry red ensemble custom-made by Filipina designer Patty Ang. Styled by her long-time collaborator MJ Benitez, the look featured a structured, waist-cinching bodice with a sweetheart neckline that extended into a playful mini skirt.

The vibrant number was paired with delicate jewelry by Sofia Yulo and a pair of white Alaïa Le Coeur pumps.

To the trained eye, the whimsical piece was unmistakably Patty Ang. The wavy, asymmetric element is characteristic of the designer’s latest collection, The Echoes of Form. Janine’s custom piece notably references the Arlo skirt from Look 8—a butter yellow pencil silhouette finished with slanted draping and tiered hoop accents along the hem.
