Who can scroll through social media these days without seeing a post about the Disney film Encanto popping up on their feed? The interest for the award-winning movie just keeps on growing, and it comes as no surprise with the film's enchanting visuals and unique musical numbers that are loved by audiences of all ages.
Another thing that makes Encanto so charming is its powerful female characters, who each have their own distinct personal styles. And if you're thinking about dressing up as them for Halloween (or just any regular day, for that matter), Janeena Chan has your covered! The influencer and host recently tried to replicate the cast's outfits in a short video, channeling the Madrigal girls with pieces from her own closet. Needless to say, she totally nailed all their signature looks!
Here are Janeena’s Encanto-inspired outfits that are sure to leave you wanting to try them yourself:
1. Mirabel Madrigal
Starting off with the main protagonist, Janeena’s first look is a tribute to the spunky and heroic Mirabel! Her character’s signature look consists of a white blouse decorated with butterflies that Janeena replicated by putting golden butterfly clips on her Plains & Prints top. The influencer paired this blouse with a blue ruffled midi skirt from R.A.F. to liken it to Mirabel’s maxi skirt.
2. Dolores Madrigal
For her look inspired by Dolores Madrigal, Janeena chose a cute yellow plaid tie top from Lola & Daisies to substitute Dolores’ yellow ruffled blouse. Of course, the character’s outfit wouldn’t be complete without red bottoms which Janeena tried to replicate with a crimson pencil skirt. She finished off her look by accessorizing with a bright red ribbon that she used as both a hair accessory and a choker!
3. Isabela Madrigal
The "Señorita Perfecta" undoubtedly has the daintiest costume out of the Madrigals. She wears a lilac frock that’s covered in flowers, symbolizing her magical ability to grow different plants. Janeena’s take on Isabela’s look is a bit simpler, featuring a gorgeous sheer floor-length dress from H&M that definitely gives off the refined vibe of the character. Of course, she didn't forget to add a purple bloom behind her ear to complete the ensemble!
4. Luisa Madrigal
Janeena created her own version of Luisa's look while staying true to the strongest Madrigal sister's character. She went for a cropped pussybow blouse by House Of EnchanteÌ and a blue mini skirt for a modern take of Luisa’s costume. That said, the cutest part of this entire look was her cat, which she used as a stand-in for the donkey Luisa lifts in the film!
