The opening of Marks & Spencer’s 23rd store in the Philippines was kicked off with a style war among fashion students. SoFA's young stylists, vying for a pretty hefty cash prize plus a magazine feature, transformed the catwalk into an arena as their models strutted the runway in business smart, laidback weekend, and night out ensembles.
Among 40 students who joined, eight finalists were chosen to participate in the M&S Style-Off Competition. The grand winner Bengt Enrique competed against fellow styling students Camille Jasper Go, Jeanne Martinez, Florian Trinidad, Sachi Yuzon, Jill Anne Magsalin, Eugene Ysabel Ignacio, and Hazel Rolden. Each presented five looks that were evaluated based on theme relevance, runway impact, and creativity and execution. Comprising the panel of judges were supermodels Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales and Apples Aberin, and fashion designers Hindy Weber-Tantoco and Randy Ortiz.
