This morning, we woke up to several Facebook friends sharing the news about our very own Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach, stepping up to the plate as Asia’s Next Top Model’s newest host.
After Georgina Wilson’s buzzworthy stint on its third cycle, followed by Thai-American model Cindy Bishop last season, enlisting Queen P as the reality TV show's next host does seem to be the perfect choice. (After all, she already proved the universe that she has what it takes to be on top.)
The speculations were further fueled by Pia's recent tweet below:
Of course, Style Bible had to reach out to Pia's team to confirm the news. And as much as we hate to burst your bubble, a very reliable source revealed that nothing has yet been finalized, which means we'll have to hold up on that bottle of champagne for now.
(UPDATED 1:30PM, August 25, 2016) According to Esther Swan, Director of Talent Department for Miss Universe, their team has not received any official offer for Pia to host the said show.
"All inquires and requests for Miss Universe appearances and bookings are sent for my attention. Having Ms. Wurtzbach take part in the [AsNTM] series would be great, [but] I have not received an invitation for consideration," it says in her statement.
Now, don't look so sad! It may not be as the next host of AsNTM, but Pia did say we have something exciting to look forward to, didn't she?
