Lanvin's owner, Shaw-Lan Wang, is rumored to be considering offloading the luxury fashion house. According to WWD, "Madame Wang has received expressions of interest to acquire Lanvin, as in the past years, but she didn’t respond."
The publishing magnate was also reportedly making an "informal approach" to a family of investors in Asia about possibly selling her stake; however, no official talks have taken place.
It was in 2001 when the Taiwanese businesswoman acquired Lanvin from L'Oréal, and hired Alber Elbaz as creative director the same year with a vision to rejuvenate the brand and expand in Asia.
Where do you think the French brand is headed to?
