Iora F/w 2009 Preview The Singaporean retail label is relaunched.

Singaporean clothing label Iora has been in the country for a few years now. In fact, the brand already has 13 branches spanning Manila and Cebu, with another shop in Marquee Mall in Pampanga set to open.

While it may have entered the shopping landscape fairly quietly, the brand has broken from its seeming silence with a grand press preview of its Fall/Winter 2009 collection. The brand's principals flew in from Singapore to meet-and-greet Manila's press contingent. Here's a bit of trivia: Iora's in-house designers in the Lion City, design a special collection for the Philippine market because they noticed that Filipina's are big on style when it comes to shopping.

“I noticed a lot of clothes ideal for work,” shared Camille Villar, one of the muses dressed specially by Iora for the day's event. “It's usually difficult for me to find suits since I'm petite,” she added saying that the selection at the boutique was a good find.

Apart from the line of 80's inspired corporate wear, titled The Art of Power Dressing, the Fall-Winter collection has four other themes. Formality Reconsidered and Ruffle Party touch on soft, feminine silhouettes; Glittering Glamour has a slew of sparkly cocktail dresses ready for the party gal; and The Undying Denim provides a trendy base for all the silk, cotton, and chiffon pieces.

Iora's Fall/Winter 2009 collection should be available in stores starting November 2009. See the Store Directory to find the boutique nearest you.
