How To Wear The Jogger Without Looking Like You're Going To The Gym

How To Wear The Jogger Without Looking Like You're Going To The Gym Be on track with what's cool on the streets.

Joggers are nothing new, really. We’ve seen them on the Spice Girls (especially Sporty Spice), on J. Lo in her countless music videos (remember Jenny from the block?), and even on heiresses Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton (velour Juicy Couture!). In fashion, trends are bound to come back at some point which is why it is best to always invest in the basics. Clearly, the track pants have returned and have no plans whatsoever of leaving anytime soon. Now available in not just the usual cotton, but also in leather, silk, and all types of prints, the athletic-inspired bottom is taking on a whole new level of chic as even with its new-found glory, you can still wear them when in need of some endorphin rush.

From the Tracks to Laid-back

Keep the casual-cool aesthetic of the basic bottom by pairing it with a cropped top and slip-ons instead of with rubber shoes and a hoodie. It’s a great airport outfit(just layer a jacket over it), an errand ensemble, and even a cozy movie-date attire.

Work is a Sport

Whoever said that sweatpants are only made for the gym is clearly wrong. Wear it with heels, a chic blazer, and a loosely worn button down for a stylish and trendy office look. You do need to be comfortable if you’ll be working you butt off the entire day, right?

Chic Athletics

If the cotton or silk variety is too casual for your liking, you can always opt for leather. Match it with a loose tank top, sky-high steppers, and a statement accessory for that dressed-to-impress-but-relaxed vibe.
