Hot weather? No problem!

We won't lie to you—we've got half a mind to go out in a bikini just to bear the heat. But since we're not by the beach (and we don't want to be flagged by HR), we simply have to find a workaround for this dilemma. But just how many times can the heat and sweat ruin our cute outfits plans before we lose our patience? Well, ladies, while wearing a swimsuit is tempting, the real solution lies in taking the time to mind the pieces you wear. Heed these practical tips and you'll never have to sacrifice style to survive the city heat.

1. Wear cutouts.

Dresses and tops that have strategically placed cutouts will provide a breezy ventilation system for your outfit. Look for cutouts on the shoulders to let your arms feel the breeze, or opt for something with cutouts on the waist to stave off the heat if you must wear sleeves.

2. Opt for light colored pieces.

Ditch your navy blues and blacks! Instead, explore the possibilities of summer whites, pastel hues, and even bright neons. Dark colors absorb heat while light colors deflect it. It's also high time that you get into prints—they camouflage pit stains quite well!

3. Go for loose clothing.

Apart from wearing lightweight materials, opt for pieces that don't cling to the body. When there's less fabric touching your skin, the lighter and cooler you feel.

4. Avoid tight pants.

Save yourself from feeling sticky all day because of tight denim! Let your skinny jeans rest this summer and go for bottoms that flare out at the bottom or have a loose fit.

5. Dress in linen or cotton.

It's not just silhouettes or colors you should watch out for when dressing this summer. It also helps that you mind the fabric your garments are made of. Generally, linen and cotton are the most breathable, while synthetic fabric clings to the skin when you start to sweat.
