Fashion—that glimmering arena of designers and sosy influencers all clad in covetable clothing, may seem worlds or even universes apart from the completely candid social media platform that is Snapchat. Nowadays, however, the fashion set prove to be just as down-to-earth as you and I. Take for example, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner (ok fine, bad example). Although their physical beauty is unattainable for the ordinary human, they still love having girl-hangouts and goofing around backstage at shoots. The latest to join the bandwagon? The fashion labels themselves!
Recent fashion weeks have shared glimpses of what goes on before, during, and after a show. Although I wasn’t able to catch the snaps live, seeing screeshots of them online made me green-eyed. The fact that you could “be” with models and “watch” the show is totes exciting for any fashion girl! To be able to experience the brand in such a personal way is one of the reasons why labels have hopped on Snapchat. It connects them with audiences and enables intimate storytelling with fans from any corner of the world. The best part of this accessibility is that it shows a side that is unscripted, and just very real. Many people don’t realize how much hard work and passion go into every show, so add ‘em up to experience this fun beautiful mess that is fashion!

As one of the brands who are at the helm of social media, Michael Kors "popped up" on the platform by creating a live Story. It was a feast for fans everywhere, as each snap (the models! the clothes! the models!) was 100% Kors fashion. And…Gigi and Kendall were there. #justsayin
Why you should watch out for more stories: Michael Kors always wants to stay true to the #AllAccessKors campaign. So will we expect more live stories to come? Yes, indeed.
2. Valentino (maisonvalentino)

During Paris Fashion Week, the maison was entertained by two very prestigious names: Derek Zoolander and Hansel! Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson reprised their Zoolander characters and even closed the show. Oh, what a fun time that would have been if we were there/online.
Why you should add the brand: Get an all-access pass to cool details like invitation writing (their calligraphy tho…), pre-show setup, and even makeup prep.
3. Stella McCartney (stellasnapping)

The most memorable sighting at the A/W 2015 show? YEEZUS!!! Paul McCartney made his cameo role too as he was seen supporting his daughter.
Why you should add the brand: She makes different people handle the account each time (her sister at the A/W 2015 show, and Hanneli Mustaparta at the S/S 2016 show). We wonder who the next Snapchatter will be…

The French fashion house made its Snapchat debut during its Cruise 2016 show at the Palais Bulles in Cannes, also via its Story function. The futuristic venue boasted the arrivals of the likes of Zoe Kravitz and Marion Cotillard. Models even snapped themselves at the afterparty!
Why you should watch out for more stories: Raf Simons, ladies and gentlemen.
5. Louis Vuitton (LVlive)

Remember all those glorious pics of Kim Jones, Rumi Neely, Nicole Warne, and other pretty people hobnobbing in Palm Springs? Yup, that was the LV Cruise 2016 collection.
Why you should add the brand: Who wouldn’t want to see Nicolas Ghesquière’s creations live??? His collections and his affinity for textures are always something to look forward to. (Tip: Marathon his shows on rainy days and you’ll instantly feel better.)
6. Balmain (BALMAINOFFICIAL)

They just recently went live for their Homme S/S 2016 collection—Olivier Rousteing’s first ever attempt to define the Balmain man. And of course, he’s just as badass as his girl counterpart.
Why you should add the brand: Unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you are aware that the Jenner (Kylie and Kendall), Hadid (Gigi and Bella) and Smalls sisters (Joan and Erika) are the brand’s new faces. We hope we’ll be seeing them snapping away soon!
7. Burberry (Burberry)

Who will you be seeing in their Stories? Oh you know, just Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Suki Waterhouse, and Naomi Campbell. No biggie. They attended the grand opening of the brand’s Rodeo Drive boutique, which went live on Snapchat.
Why you should add the brand: C-A-R-A. D-E-L-E-V-I-N-G-N-E. Got it?
