If you'll let us, we'd like to put it out there that visors are pretty much the headwear equivalent of the fanny pack: dorky, utilitarian, and often misinterpreted. Ugly, though? Or outdated? We think not, and even less so in the hands of Dior (icymi, the storied French label's Fall 2017 collection was also key in skyrocketing the beret back onto every famous noggin in fashion. Looking at you, Rihanna.).

Dior wasn't the only brand playing mad hatter, though. There were also the touristy, tropical bloom-splattered versions over at Max Mara, and not to mention those interesting suede headwrap-type pieces from Nicholas K.
Now, how to actually wear one? Like, away from the sand n' sea? You won't go wrong with a tastefully high-low mix of denim and suiting fabric; it's just the right balance of casual-cool and crisp you'll need to look intentional, not sloppy.
