Instagram is one of the world's leading social media platforms, with millions of users across the globe able to engage in aesthetically pleasing photos coupled with tidbits of information. In the fashion world, being relevant and popular can easily be calculated through your number of likes, comments, story views, and, of course, your loyal followers. 

Last year, Instagram crowned Kendall Jenner as the most followed paid model, garnering 87.6 million followers, while Selena Gomez retains her crown as the most followed Hollywood celeb with a whopping 133 million followers. We crunched the numbers for the most popular fashion brands through Statista's December 2017 data, cross-referenced it with Instagram's Year in Review last November 2017, and checked these brands' current Instagram accounts as of writing. Below are the top 10 most followed fashion brands:

10. Victoria Beckham - 18.9 million

Victoria Beckham makes her way onto the list through her clever BTS photos, runway shots, and showroom posts mixed with glimpses of what it's like to be a Beckham.

9. Gucci - 21.4 million

8. Louis Vuitton - 21.5 million

7. adidas Originals - 24.7 million

adidas has several Instagram accounts but adidas Originals is perhaps our favorite. It depicts an easy lifestyle made possible by athleisure and on-trend street style inspo.

H&M and Zara tie for the fifth spot.
