Have you noticed?

There’s no question that we love both American and Korean fashion. We are constantly impressed by how bold and fashion-forward the Western style is; they’re ever evolving and unafraid to experiment (think Kendall Jenner’s invisible jeans, lol). At the same time, K-fashion has always been synonymous to all things fun, quirky, and cool—and even without showing too much skin, they’re masters of striking a balance between style and comfort (just look up Jun Ji Hyun’s killer airport fashion for proof).

While both are no doubt a solid source of sartorial inspo, the cultural differences between Americans and Koreans are quite noticeable when it comes to their wardrobe preferences and the way they style themselves. For one, our Asian neighbors tend to be on the more conservative side, always taking into account the time, place, and occasion when picking what outfit to wear for the day.
