Last September, the internet had mixed feelings about Louis Vuitton's release of their monogram face shields. It was part of the luxury house's Cruise 2021 collection and was reported to be priced at $961—that's a little over P46,000, mind you.
The face shield's price tag alone had everyone's jaw dropping, but we did wonder if we'd see it on any style stars eventually. After all, people have been reworking their designer bags into face masks, so someone getting a designer face shield didn't seem that farfetched. And now, it looks like we will be seeing it on Heart Evangelista!
Heart, unboxing the item on her Instagram stories, received the viral face shield as a gift from an online shop. She didn't seem to expect such a luxurious gift and couldn't hide her surprise. "This is so crazy," the actress says in the video. "I never thought I would be wearing a Louis Vuitton face shield, but it is a gift I will not say no to. Thank you so much!"
Here's a little more info on the designer item: Aside from the flashy monogram strap and trimming, it has a movable shield (meaning you can flip it upwards) and "transition lens technology" that allows it to switch from clear to dark depending on its exposure to the sun. While it's definitely not a must-have (our plain face shields will do for now, thank you), it sure is a fancy take on PPE that we can expect from any luxury brand.
All that said, we still can't wait to see how Heart will be wearing it in her OOTDs!
