It’s not often that you see Heart Evangelista out of her vertiginous heels, but when she does give her footwear of choice a break, she certainly makes it count.
Currently in Sorsogon, where her husband Chiz Escudero serves as governor, the actress has been sharing photos of tourist attractions and handicrafts, and we, members of her home audience have been enjoying learning more about her #mahalkongsorsogon. Like a true fashion girl, she’s turned the local sights into editorial backdrops for her OOTDs, and it was one such photo of her at the Rompeolas baywalk with the pili nut monument—in honor of one of the most popular products of the Bicol region—that we stopped to take in what Mrs. Escudero happened to be wearing.
Seeing Heart in a beautiful designer dress is not something new, but seeing her pair it with high tops isn’t regular programming. Mind you, her take on the dress and sneakers combo is still very much glamorous, naturally, with her exactly matched florals courtesy of the Kenzo and Vans collaboration.
The Spring 2020 drop, the first capsule collection from Kenzo’s new Creative Director Felipe Oliveira Baptista, features three bold floral prints from the brand’s archives decorating both the Vans Sk8-Hi that Heart is wearing, as well as the Old-Skool low-top sneaker. Apart from shoe collab, Kenzo has also released a 46-piece ready-to-wear capsule collection that includes T-shirts, hoodies, dresses, and even caps and bags are on the retail floor. This will make it easy enough for you to follow Heart’s pattern play your own way.
Interested? We did some virtual shopping at Akimbo’s website, a.k.a. where you can officially shop for Kenzo in the metro, and filled our wish lists with a few more items to get your print-on-print game on. Though only 28 designs are available locally, the variety is more than enough to satisfy.
