kicks off its newest campaign, Happy Soles, as it celebrates the Filipinos' happiest moments. For many years, flip-flops have been a constant companion on many joyful occasions and milestones. They've tagged along on many a beach trip, trekked mountains, danced under the moonlight, and even walked down the aisle.

In an effort to be present in more of those special moments Havaianas wants to share a unique life experience in the land of sunshine, Brazil (the Havaianas homeland), via this creative competition called, “Happy Soles Will Travel to Brazil.”

“Havaianas has always had the privilege of being with Filipinos during their happiest moments—at the beach, in malls, at home, practically everywhere. We wanted to create the happiest possible experience through this unique, luxury vacation to Brazil,” says Anne Gonzalez, Managing Director of Havaianas Philippines.

Simply record your answers to the question above as creatively as possible via the Havaianas roving video booth that will travel to key malls nationwide. If you're not able to catch it, you may just e-mail your video to happysoles@havaianasphilippines.com. Your last option would be to upload it on the campaign website: www.havaianasphilippines.com/happysoles starting February 18, 2010. You only have until May 2, 2010 to submit your entry.

The top ten happiest and most creative entries shall be shortlisted by a board of judges: travel blogger Anton Diaz, Capoeira guru Professor Fantasma, Preview editor-in-chief Pauline Suaco-Juan and Havaianas Philippines' Anne Gonzalez. And to make this more interactive and exciting, the public will decide who of the ten will be awarded the grand prize by voting at the campaign website.

By grand prize, Havaianas means extraordinarily grand and superbly incredible prize package. (Read: Wow!) The winner, along with three of his/her friends, will experience the beauty and culture of Brazil in a once-in-a-lifetime trip, complete with travel must-haves from Havaianas, Sony, David & Goliath and Aloha Board Sports. Olá Brazil!

Imagine the cool climate of cosmopolitan Sao Paulo, the endless summer of Rio de Janeiro, the fanciest boutiques at Oscar Freire Street and shopping at Daslu. In fact, the Filipinos, despite challenging times, remain the happiest souls in Asia and the 14th happiest worldwide. Havaianas banks on this attribute—the innate happiness of Pinoys.
