Halloween is fast approaching and don’t say we didn’t remind you enough because we did multiple times. But now that we’re only two days shy from the upcoming trick-or-treat adventures, seems like playing the blame game won’t help either. Don’t worry, we may have another option for you to still be able to RSVP to that spooky party you've been invited to. We’ve already given you easy-to-cop costume ideas complete with makeup to match, but if you don’t have the time nor the extra bucks to spare for a shopping trip, stop making a fuss about it and just head to your closet.
No matter how long you search, you probably won’t find a Little Mermaid costume magically stashed inside your underwear drawer. Don’t even bother because that’s not what you’re looking for. Scroll down and find out which key pieces from your closet you'll need to keep your eyes open for.
LITTLE BLACK DRESS
It’s every girl’s must-have, so we’re pretty sure you have one. And when you see an LBD, who do you automatically think of? Audrey Hepburn, of course! With a pair of gloves and perhaps a tiara, you’re now ready to be one of Hollywood’s ultimate fashion icons.
Who wants to be a Hogwarts student for a day? Well, good news! Look for that lumpy cable-knit cardigan you love wearing on rainy days and you can attend the party as Hermione Granger. You’ll also need to borrow a tie from your dad or your brother, but that shouldn’t be too hard, right? Just go for a school girl look, and don’t forget to bring your wand.
We can’t make you swap lives with Jennifer Lawrence, but we can certainly help you transform into Katniss Everdeen for the Halloween. Wear a brown leather jacket over your everyday shirt and jeans, braid your tresses, and there you have it! Easy-peasy, right? Works best with bow and arrows though.
If you can’t find one, you can always improvise. Wear a white collared shirt underneath your LBD, and that’s an instant Wednesday Addams outfit you can sport for trick-and-treating. To complete the look, part your hair in the middle and braid each section.
If you happen to have an edgy wardrobe, you’re sure to come across a pair of leather pants. You may not have the full bodysuit for Catwoman or Arrow’s Black Canary, but now you have something to start off with. Go find yourself a black fitting top and a pair of boots to match it with and you can finally hit the party. But wear a mask, will you? And we found kitten ears here that might help, too.
Hope this helps you make the most of Halloween! If you have more time on your hands, you can also check out Spot.ph's nifty costume suggestions that you can make at home. Enjoy trick-or-treating, guys!
