Time to spare some extra space in your closet: H&M has announced its latest designer team-up with Mugler.
The Sweden-based fashion chain has revealed that its creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson and Mugler creative director Casey Cadwallader have joined forces for an upcoming capsule collection. Set to launch online and in selected stores in mid-2023, the collab is expected to merge the powerhouse brands’ unique spirit and aesthetic.

This isn’t the first time that H&M has tapped a luxury fashion house for a market-crossing collab, though. The fashion retailer has had a long history of democratizing high fashion and releasing more “accessible” designer wear, including collabs with Karl Lagerfeld (2004), Comme des Garçons (2008), and Versace (2011).
Since its start in 1973, the Mugler brand has been synonymous with architectural fashion and high-voltage designs, dressing celebrities from Madonna to Lady Gaga. Most recently, Filipina artist Lukresia walked its Fall/Winter 2023 showcase at Paris Haute Couture Week.

While details for the upcoming H&M collaboration are yet to be revealed, expect it to include much of Mugler’s distinctive avant-garde motifs. But in the meantime, fashion enthusiasts can browse H&M's current offerings on Zalora online.
